Job description

You will give a seal of quality assurance to the Datahug product. You will be responsible for designing, documenting and executing functional testing of the application to provide assurance that the product works perfectly. You will get to know the product inside-out and you will soon be sought out to make reasoned recommendations for improvements and new features. You may also have the skills and inclination to develop automated functional and performance tests and run user acceptance testing.

We are a young company and you will gain a tremendous amount of responsibility and experience very quickly. We are a well-experienced team, practice Agile development, use the latest .NET MVC, MongoDB and AWS technologies and have a strong ethos of letting each member of the team work to the best of their abilities and share their skills and knowledge.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work with the product manager to design and document tests to support new features.
• Work with the dev lead to plan tests as part of the development cycle.
• Work with the dev team to execute functional testing as new features are developed, report issues and retest resolved issues.
• Manage the test documentation and test reports and present status updates to the team.
• Provide sign-off at the end of a development cycle that the system is in good health and is developed to specification.

Additional Responsibilities

• Work with the sales and support team to provide technical support to enterprise customers.
• Create and QA support reports
• Create test environments as required to accurately model specific mail server installations.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• 1 - 2 years relevant experience in software testing or software development with a strong desire to become a great test engineer.
• Bachelor's degree or similar education in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Maths, Physics or related discipline.
• Experience with Unfuddle, Bugzilla, Trac, Jira or similar issue management tools.
• Experience with TestLodge, Testopia, Mercury or similar test management tools.
• ISTQB-BCS Certified Tester Foundation Level or greater.
